Rates are rounded to at most two decimal places. Reported rates alone do not establish underpayment.
01Agreement vs. payment

See what your deal says beside what was paid.

Follow the rate for each kind of income.

03What to look into

Find payment differences—not guesses based on income trends.

Reported rates alone do not prove underpayment. Back payments depend on verified ownership, original records and claim deadlines.

Before you start

Good questions.
Clear answers.

What should I upload first?

Start free with royalty statements in CSV, Excel or PDF, your agreement, and any changes to it. Include the dates and companies you want checked. Upload your files in the dashboard, not in these website examples.

Does this work if I already have a business manager or auditor?

Yes. Recover Royalties helps your team organize statements and agreement terms, find payment differences and decide what to ask about first. It supports your advisers, rather than replacing them.

What if an agreement is missing?

We can still show income by song, payor, kind of income and country. But we cannot check a rate against an agreement you have not uploaded. A missing agreement is not proof that you were underpaid.

What should I look into first?

What to look into: a statement that doesn't add up to its total, different rates for the same kind of income in the same country (one agreement sets one rate), a service such as Spotify, YouTube or Apple that stopped paying, missing statements, payments below your agreement's rates, or songs your society never pays on.

Can historical royalties and back payments be recovered?

Potentially. Your ownership, agreement, supporting records and claim deadlines matter. A flagged payment is a starting point for review—not a guaranteed payment or an automatic claim.

Who is the platform designed for?

Artists, songwriters, producers and the people who represent them: business managers, music lawyers, royalty auditors and authorized representatives. It is built for music earners with more than $100,000 in revenue in the last twelve months.
